WHERE TO START FROM

You can start this from the corridor or back of your houe.One room is more than enough to start this production. You only need to adhere to the requirement of SAE and SON as this involves taking care of people’s engine. Note that one person can produce 200-500 liters a day. There may be need for other staff as sales and secretary/Clark.

I advise that you start this alone pending when the business starts booming.

HOW TO MARKET AND PACKET YOUR PRODUCT

The product is package usually in 1 liters, 5lts, 10lts, 20lts, 25lt, 50lts, 100lts and 200lts. This product is very easy to market as many oil retailers are ready to do business with you.

In production of the lubricant oil, It will take you at most =N=325 to produce a liter of lubricant oil. The Packaging and the product will cost you not more than =N=350.

For a full drum of base oil and additive of 200 liters that will be sold at least =N=500 per liter.

You will be making 200liters x 150 = 30,000.These 200 liters can be packaged into 50 liters container for easy marketing. If you are able to sell 6 drums in a month that will give you =N=180,000.One thing good about starting your own business is that you can grow your customer base. The more your customers base the more profit you make.

At this level of production you will be supplying fuel stations and Oil retail vendors. You don’t need to package in your own customized cans. This will help you to beat the regulatory bodies and some oil unions. When you start making profit, you can register with SON and other regulatory bodies.

At the seminar, full practical will be carried out to teach you how to produce Lubricant oil that meets Local and international standard (i.e. SON and SAE standards).

 You can also market this product in our neighboring African countries when the business starts booming.

The price will jump to =N=25,000 at the venue.
